Why am I going? Simple – I want to pick up those priceless nuggets of information on social media, marketing and SEO that can really help you with your online venture…. and pass them on to my clients.
You see my business, Magenta Sky Solutions, provides technical support with online systems to micro businesses and soloprenuers. I help start-ups and (really) small businesses with their websites, email, hosting and social media by providing helpful and friendly advice on a variety of techy topics.
Whilst I don’t specialise in services for ecommerce, looking at the list of seminars and workshops I can see that the topics being discussed can be applied to all of my clients. Everyone, whether they are blogging, advertising their professional services, selling physical products or digital content needs to know about marketing, social media, search engine optimisation and customer engagement.
I have to know at least the basics of many topics. I need to be able to grasp what the potential is and have the contact details of the expert to call when I need more information or to refer a client. Yes, I will be after your business card!
I’ve worked in IT for over 15 years and it is constantly evolving. Who knew 5 years ago just how important Twitter would be for both B2B and B2C interaction? I am going to The BIG eCommerce Conference because I don’t want to be missing out on something I really should be getting involved in.
